Frequently Asked Questions

Everything eye care professionals, hospitals and distribution partners in India ask about Oculentis eye drops, licensing, ordering and support.

Products & Portfolio

What products does Oculentis Medical manufacture?

Oculentis Medical Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, manufactures and markets a complete ophthalmic portfolio for the Indian market — sterile eye drops across anti-infective, lubricant, anti-glaucoma, anti-allergic and NSAID therapy areas, intraocular lenses (hydrophobic and hydrophilic platforms), ophthalmic viscoelastic devices (OVDs) for cataract surgery, plus Tru Vision, an eye-nutrition nutraceutical tablet with lutein and zeaxanthin.

Which eye drops are in the Oculentis range?

The portfolio includes moxifloxacin antibiotic eye drops and combinations (Moxilux, Moxilux-LP, Moxilux-D), lubricants for dry eye (Ocufina, Ocufina Gel, Restor-TF, Restor Hydra, Restor Ultra), anti-glaucoma agents (Travotis — travoprost; Brimolux T — brimonidine + timolol), the NSAID Nepalux (nepafenac), the anti-allergic Ololux (olopatadine) and Tobalux F (tobramycin + steroid). Full prescribing details are on each product page.

Are Oculentis eye drops licensed in India?

Yes. All Oculentis ophthalmic pharmaceutical products are licensed by CDSCO/FDA-India and manufactured and marketed in compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules for the Indian market. Manufacturing licences and product permissions are available to qualified trade partners and institutional buyers on request.

What quality standards does Oculentis manufacture to?

Oculentis products are manufactured under WHO-GMP compliant sterile production conditions within an ISO 13485 quality management system. Every batch is released with a certificate of analysis, and batch-level traceability is maintained from raw material to dispatch.

Do Oculentis products require a prescription?

Most Oculentis eye drops — antibiotics, steroid combinations, NSAIDs and anti-glaucoma agents — are prescription medicines and should be used only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner. Lubricant drops and the Tru Vision eye-nutrition supplement are positioned for professional recommendation as well. Always follow the prescribing information supplied with the product.

Therapy Areas

Which Oculentis drops are used for bacterial eye infections?

Moxilux (moxifloxacin 0.5%) is our broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone for bacterial conjunctivitis and ocular infections. Moxilux-LP (moxifloxacin + loteprednol) and Moxilux-D (moxifloxacin + dexamethasone) combine the antibiotic with a steroid where inflammation accompanies infection, and Tobalux F pairs tobramycin with a steroid. Choice of agent rests with the treating ophthalmologist.

What does Oculentis offer for dry eye disease?

Our lubricant range covers mild to severe dry eye: Ocufina and the Restor family (Restor-TF, Restor Hydra, Restor Ultra) for daily lubrication, and Ocufina Gel for longer-lasting relief, including overnight use. These are among the most frequently recommended lubricating eye drops for screen-related and age-related dry eye in India.

Which anti-glaucoma eye drops does Oculentis supply?

Travotis (travoprost 0.004%) is a once-daily prostaglandin analogue for open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension, and Brimolux T (brimonidine 0.2% + timolol 0.5%) is a fixed-dose combination for patients needing dual-mechanism IOP control. Anti-glaucoma therapy must be initiated and monitored by an ophthalmologist.

What is available for allergic conjunctivitis and post-operative inflammation?

Ololux (olopatadine) is our anti-allergic for itching, redness and watering due to allergic conjunctivitis. Nepalux (nepafenac) is a topical NSAID used for pain and inflammation, including post-operative ocular inflammation as directed by the surgeon.

What is Tru Vision and who is it for?

Tru Vision is Oculentis Medical's eye-nutrition nutraceutical — a tablet formulated with lutein and zeaxanthin, macular carotenoids that support retinal health. It is positioned as daily nutritional support for eye health and is marketed in India as a nutraceutical, not as a treatment for any disease.

Distribution & Partnership

How can I become an Oculentis distributor or PCD/franchise partner?

Pharmaceutical distributors, stockists and PCD/franchise partners anywhere in India can apply through the Become a Distributor page. We evaluate applicants on their pharma distribution licences, ophthalmic or pharma sales network, storage capability and territory coverage. Selected partners receive product training, promotional inputs and documentation support.

Which territories are available in India?

We appoint partners state-wise across India, and territory availability is confirmed during qualification. Exclusive or monopoly arrangements for defined districts or states are discussed on merit and agreed in writing — we do not promise exclusivity before qualification.

Does Oculentis export or supply outside India?

No. Oculentis Medical serves the Indian market only. All manufacturing, licensing and distribution activities are focused on India, and we do not currently accept export or international supply enquiries.
